Dr. Weaver graduated from the University of Maryland with a Master’s degree in psychiatric nursing focusing on family and group therapy. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as an adult psychiatric clinical specialist. She also completed the Institute of Pastoral Counseling (IPC) from Emerge Ministries, Inc. in Akron, Ohio.

She is Co-Founder/Director/Therapist at Covenant Counseling Ministries, Inc.  Susie previously worked as a critical care nurse in ICU/ED/Trauma/PACU; she was employed as Professor of Nursing at Allegany College of Mayland for over 20 years, was an adjunct faculty in the graduate online nursing program at Liberty University for five years, employed Frostburg State University for three years and has been Director of Nursing at Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL over the past 6 years.

Susie holds a Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) from the University of Phoenix and has a reputation as an exceptional therapist educating both adults and children within the context of family therapy. In addition to counseling, she is currently employed as an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Frostburg State University. She loves to teach and is a dynamic speaker with a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Susie and her husband, Dale, have four adult children and seven grandchildren. They reside in Cumberland, MD.
